You see them everywhere. They roll their mouths into balls, swirl around the spit like wine tasters, eject a dirty noise and lo and behold there is a squirt of saliva that finds its way to terra firma. Sometimes this acrobatic feat is targeted at the walls on your office or residential staircase. Paan juice, after thorough mastication, hits your white shirt as you hurry for your interview.
Dear Indians, let’s do something about this horrible malaise. It’s not just a question of simple hygiene, even TB or swine flu can spread due to this horrendous act.
What say, the next time we see a bugger just about to commit this sin, let’s shout “CHEE”. Chances are he is gonna be embarrassed even if it’s only a bit slightly. The ‘say “CHEE” to spitters!’ campaign will gain momentum and more than one person on the road, residential buildings, office complexes, public transport systems, etc etc will raise his or her voice through the above slogan. Our protest through this embarrassment will snowball into a big campaign.
If we raise a din with this campaign it will definitely thwart the buggers, ensure our walls are cleaner, our cities and streets less polluted and keep the saliva where it really belongs namely in the oesophagus of the offenders!
